Inundation in South Jakarta Has Receded Completely

We continue to coordinate with local apparatus to make the water recede quickly

Jakarta Regional Disaster Mitigation Agency (BPBD) has noted that floodwaters that inundate 22 out of 24 neighborhoods (RT) in Jakarta since morning have started to recede.

Jakarta BPBD's Center for Disaster Data and Information (Pusdatin) Head Mohammad Insaf said, based on the data gathered at 9 AM, there was no more inundation in South Jakarta.

Heavy Rain, One Neighborhood in East Jakarta Flooded

"There was previously four inundated but it has receded. Yet one in Kedoya Utara is still inundated with the water level reaches 10-30 cm," he said, when being confirmed.

Thus far there was no evacuation or streets are flooded. But, in East Jakarta, around 10 RTs in Kampung Melayu were still inundated with the water level reached 10-60 cm.

Then seven were in Bidara Cina (10-20 cm high) and five were in Cawang (31-80 cm high).

"We continue to coordinate with local apparatus to make the water recede quickly," he stated.
